My First Review

This review came to me privately from one of One December's first readers and it means the world to me! Thank you! "I blew through One December in just a few days and finished it this morning. I really, REALLY enjoyed it and became invested in Jessica and Ben very soon after each of the characters were introduced. I love this kind of story and the book was a page turner for me. Every day I looked forward to picking it back up so I could find out what happened next. I very much related to all of the musical artist or song references & discussions, and it was easy to put myself in their headspace a lot of times. As far as the meat & potatoes of the story goes - good stuff! I kept wondering, "How is this going to end?" It's definitely not predictable because of how everything unfolds as it goes along. I wish I could say more but I don't want to give anything away.

Oh, I also found myself trying to come up with actors who I think would be good to play the main characters if this was a movie or mini-series.

- CPH One thing that I wasn't prepared for is the apprehension that comes along with making something that's been so personal to you for months (or years) public. I lived with these characters for a very long time; I gave birth to them; and suddenly I was faced with the question of 'What if others don't like Jessica and Ben?'
